Hello to working parents needing a reliable childminder in the Essex area

I worked as a teaching assistant for four years in a primary school before leaving to have my youngest daughter and then made the decision to become a childminder. We have been childminding since 2007 and thoroughly enjoy the work. In the past years we have cared for many children and have always felt that it was important to make them feel secure and happy in a homely environment, We are also firm believers in affordable childcare, as we know from our own experience how difficult it can be for mums and dads to leave their children and go back into the work place.

I work with my husband, Terry, who is also a registered childminder. Together we have brought up three children of our own. Between us we have amassed a wealth of knowledge in childcare. We are both CRB checked and hold current First Aid certificates. We are also OFSTED inspected on a regular basis. We have Public Liability Insurance and when parents visit for the first time they are free to inspect our references and Childminding policies. We are also members of PACEY (Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years) and we both currently hold our NVQ level 3 diploma in Childcare, Learning and Development.

Our home and outside gardens are strict no smoking areas. Kelly, Terry and immediate family are all non-smokers Parents and visitors will not be permitted to smoke on our premises.

We believe that children can learn a lot from having contact with animals and we encourage children to treat all animals with respect, learning how to handle them correctly and caring for them. We have a Chocolate Labrador called Freddy and 2 Cat's Amelia and Ella.
